Bill Austin & Aaron Tippin Meet Legandary Pilot Bob Hoover
It was a birthday party they will never forget, but Bill Austin nor country music artist Aaron Tippin was the man of the hour. Instead, they had the privileged to meet a mutual hero, and world-renowned pilot, Bob Hoover on this 90th birthday. Hoover, a native of Tennessee, has both an incredible history of military and civilian piloting. Hoover was shot down during WWII and was held prisoner for 16 months until he escaped. Commandeering a German plane in the process, Hoover flew to the Netherlands, effectively rescuing himself in the process. His civilian career was just as impressive.
